Writing, with its corollary, speech, undoubtedly only transcribes a part of our thoughts, but as long as we master its codes, its alphabet, we can affirm that the idea thus transmitted will be relatively precise and faithful. 

Nothing like that with images! But there is still an advantage: there is no need for a code, the vision becomes necessarily "international".

An image is above all a visual or even mental representation of something.

It can be natural or artificial, like a painting or a photograph, tangible or conceptual; the image can bear a direct resemblance to its model or, on the contrary, give a free interpretation.

Unlike figurative painting, photography does not require any particular mastery and with the computer tool the possibilities offered are now infinite and much faster.

The temptation to replace the artist's age-old and traditional medium becomes very tempting.
